As an antidote to the previous "Seven Things" meme, I offer the following, from the New World Barktionary.
hot dog (noun) » Food item that tastes like meat, though also tastes of salt or sweat or sometimes food. » When offered the hot dog, you eat it immediately. You seldom, if ever, taste the hot dog.
