Oprah willannounce her next selection during the show!I don't know whether to be thrilled or dismayed. Certainly, Oprah has had one of the great big giantest influences on the publishing industry since the advent of movable books, but so much emphasis is placed on her picks that it sort of drives me nuts, especially given that there are like 50,000 books published each year, and a lot of them are at least as deserving (if not more so) of receiving the O-Lotto, and they never ever will.
Sour Grapes? Maybe. But I especially like Cabernet. So sour grapes are lovely. Let's have some more.
Overall, it's fine. Gimme more Oprah picks. I love 'em more than pickles.
