Ameri-kane Idol Contestant from Spoka-Vegas

Does anybody watch that show... the one with the singers and stuff that sing, and then these idiotic nincompoops insult them and yammer on about how awful their hair is? Because it looks like someone from Spokane is going to be on that show. And though this may not be a big deal to you if you're Kimmie Meissner, it's kind of a biggish deal if you're from Spokane and you watch that show and you're a singer and you're thinking, "there's no way in heck I'll ever meet Paula Abdul."

So you watch the show, and the contestants wear their zip code on their clothing, but it's never ever 99205.

Until now.

I don't think I'm supposed to know anything about this (especially since I stopped watching almost all televesion about three years ago). But I'm relatively certain one of the contestants will be Cami Bradley (Miller), who won the Gimme the Mike Competition here in Spokane this year. (I don't know Cami, but it looks as if she may have married recently, as her name has changed from Miller to Bradley. If this is so, then congratulations. And why am I getting so gossipy here on my blog? I have no idea. But I wanted you to know that it will end shortly, and I'll go back to my boring old self.)

I doubt this will increase Idol's ratings, much--how could they get any higher?--but it will definitely increase "all Idol, all the time" news coverage around these parts. (I'd maybe even tune in myself, but I can't stand the smarmily judgemental attitude, or the absolutely incorrect and ridiculous opinions of the judges themselves). It's the full-court news press that makes me crazy, so that's likely the reason I'm mentioning it at all.

Sigh.

There is also the possibility that I'm wrong. But I don't think I am. On anything. Ever. So there you go. It won't happen here. Wrongness, that is. Blessings to you and yours and Cami's and hers. I do wish her well (assuming it's her that's going to be on the show). My guess is she's already signed a hefty contract and needs my best wishes about as much as she needs sideburns. But my best wishes she'll get anyway.Meanwhile, we're about to start all-skating all-the-time coverage. And who's singing the national anthem at the opening ceremonies?

Why Cami is, naturally.

Blessings.
