Today is my father's birthday, so as a bit of an unusual gift to him, I'm going to send all my bazillions of regular readers (all six or seven of you...) to take a look at his website, which offers his wood switchplate and electrical plate products.
But first, take a little walk around your house... switch on a light or two, then switch it off. Find an outlet. Unplug something. Plug it back in. Did you notice what kind of plate was there? Was it invisible or just plain ugly? I'm willing to bet it was... so maybe you'll be wanting upgrade, to try something new, to actually have something on the walls that's attractive and unusual and handmade.
They would make an excellent birthday gift... if the birthday boy didn't make them himself, that is.
