NPR : Fact and Fiction Overlap in Weber's 'Triangle'
I somehow managed to miss the fact that Katherine Weber has a new novel. Katharine Weber is one of those authors that I simply have to keep track of because every time there is something new, I devour it and am not sorry to have been there.
NPR : Fact and Fiction Overlap in Weber's 'Triangle': The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire on March 25, 1911, stunned New York. Many of the 146 people who died in the fire jumped from upper floors, where fire-department ladders couldn't reach and fire escapes melted in the heat. That fire provides the background for Katharine Weber's new novel Triangle. Her grandmother actually worked at the factory, two years before the disaster. Thanks to NPR for putting Ms. Weber on the air to remind me. I'm going to have to buy the book as soon as possible. What about you? What author do you immediately purchase when their books arrive? Listening to “The Reaper” by Alana Davis from the album Surrender Dorothy on
