You Don't Have to Watch Dynasty to Have an Attitude

Was anybody watching Dynasty anymore when this song came out? Listening to “Kiss” by Prince from the album The Hits 2 on I don't remember. But there it was, randomly selected in my iTunes listening box, and I just had to know. Like right now. Anybody remember? Was it even on anymore? Hold on. (This Google thing has lots of answers inside.) Looks like its final season ended in 1989.

The song came out as part of the Batman soundtrack. Also 1989. So maybe it was a slam on a declining show? Or maybe (just maybe) it just sounded good to Prince in the song. Or maybe (and most probably) it was a song he'd already written and just inserted into the soundtrack. And maybe you don't care at all. But that's just one of the best songs ever written, whether you like Prince or not. Okay? Oh, what's next in my playlist? Here you go.
