Daniel Gross Eats Chapter One on a Bed of Greens
I honestly don't know if this is a book post or a food post. Slate writer Daniel Gross said this in a recent article there:
Dow 36,000: The New Strategy for Profiting From the Coming Rise in the Stock Market
James K. Glassman, Kevin Hassett, Kevin A. Hassett
“Skeptical that the Bush administration could convince a boldface banker to assume the thankless (and comparatively low-paying) task of replacing Treasury Secretary John Snow, I wrote: ”John Snow will have a replacement, and he may very well come from the corporate world. But if it's an A-list Wall Street CEO, I'll buy a copy of Dow 36,000 and eat the first chapter.“Well, guess what... Mr. Bush got himself Goldman Sachs CEO Henry Paulson, and Daniel Gross sat himself down to chapter one. Which frankly is even bigger grandstanding than the statement he made in the first place. ”Look! I followed through on my promise! I ate some book.“ Okay. Whatever. Not really that interesting by itself, I know. Except apparently Mr. Gross has found some use in that book. And that's more than I can say for most. ℅ Slashfood
