Zags Lose Lose Lose Lose Lose
After the game. After Gonzaga (the Zags, the Bulldogs, etc.) lost by two lousy points. After Gonzaga simply rolled over and handed the game (and their seventeen point lead) to the Bruins (did I imagine that game? Neither team ever looked particularly sharp, and I wonder where the actual players were... who were those guys?). After all that, my heart is pounding too hard and too fast, my jaw is clenched, and I am unable to properly listen to whatever Unito (8) is trying to tell me (or ask me, or whatever). Finally:

Bravehearts: The Against-All-Odds Rise of Gonzaga Basketball
by Bud Withers, John Stockton
Unito: What's wrong? Me: I don't know. I'm upset. U: Why? M: I got too wrapped up in the game. U: What do you mean? M: I mean I get emotional when I watch the game. I let my emotions get the best of me. Gonzaga lost. I'm upset. U: Why? M: I don't know. I just got really really involved in it. I hate basketball. The rhythms of the game are all wrong. You know what? He's right. That's weird. And that's why I don't watch the games. And thank God I don't have to watch anymore this season. Maybe ever. You may now return to your regularly scheduled life. I'm listening to “Everything That's Real” by Ellis from the album Everything That's Real on[pause] U: That's weird.
