Seals Again... Blame Canada...

...because this really is Canada's fault. Now that Canada's seal slaughter has begun once again, it seems like a good time for a reminder to take action and get it stopped. You can start, if you like, at the Humane Society of the United States website:

Take Action: Urge Canada's new Prime Minister to stop the seal hunt: With the recent election of Prime Minister Harper, we have a new chance to convince the Canadian government that the price of continuing the seal hunt is too high to pay. Send a message to Prime Minister Harper and tell him that you are joining the international boycott of Canadian seafood. Let him know that your dollars will not support the slaughter of baby seals, and that you will not purchase Canadian seafood until he ends the seal hunt forever.

I signed the form, and I mentioned how close I was to Canada, and how I also won't be planning any vacation time there. Because I won't. As they say in the funny papers, money talks. I'm listening to “Spoonfed” by Marcy Playground from the album MP3 on .
