.lit/ The Lit List

I don't know how well this will play in the real world (whatever that means), but here's an interesting newish thing... a web site for “digging” your favorite fictional stories on the web.

The Lit List / Stories: The Lit List is a site where readers can submit links to online fiction—including short stories, eBooks and podcasts—from around the web and vote for their favorites. The most popular stories are automatically “published” to the front page. It's like a real-time literary journal edited by readers.

Could be interesting. Could be spammish. Could be worth at least a second glance. Of course, if it isn't worth a third glance, it likely won't work well. These sorts of things work best when lots of folks show up and use the system. What think you? Will it fly?
