dogma: Happier dogs, safer neighborhoods: Behaviorists have long understood that socially isolating dogs on chains can turn a nice dog into a territorial monster, and woe to the person who wanders into that territory, or runs into a loose dog once the chain breaks. The best way to have a safe dog is to have the animal be a well-trained, well-socialized and well-cared for member of the family.
