First impressions after watching Super Bowl 40: I am so bloody glad I don't pay serious attention to professional sports anymore. (Though I must admit the game itself was one of the best I've ever seen on Super Bowl Sunday... even if it hadn't been Seattle out there.)
I might say more later, but I might not. I cannot believe how much time and energy it feels as though I wasted today... just watching the circus. There was very little entertaining about it (though the game, as I said, had its moments... the NFL is so far removed from things I care about that it has ceased to be entertaining even when the teams are well matched). Even the commercials were unusually lame.
I mean, they were pretty timid. And not particularly creative. Sort of ho-hum.
Whatever.
