Hey, one of my currently-favorite jazz bands (The Bad Plus) has a blog called DO THE MATH. Why do I like The Bad Plus? Well, I like their music, that's why. And because they're young, and they play jazz, and they sound like they just go out and play music they like to play instead of getting all worked up over their own damn selves. And that's just plain good to hear. Bless them.
One proviso... if you buy a Bad Plus CD, it may have the Sony Rootkit on it, which is the utterly stupid Sony jigsaw that could take your Windows computer into rootkit hell (along with Sony execs, we hope), so be warned. You can swap for a clean disk, but why should you have to? I advise, rather, that you buy Bad Plus from the iTunes Music store [], because though the Apple DRM Smells Like Teen Spirit [], at least they give you the fairest of plays.
Again. Bless them all.
