If you love dogs as much as Ken Foster, you will probably recognize yourself in much of The Dogs Who Found Me. You will remember your heart stopping or being shredded... only to be repaired with an even greater capacity to love. You will see yourself following a stray across a busy freeway, risking your own life to save theirs, and the dog looking up at you as if to say “oh, there you are.” You will pretend to choose this life, as touched by dogs. But you will be reminded that you have been chosen by them instead. You may think you have found these dogs. But it is the dogs that have found you. And it is you who have been rescued. You may even call the dogs up onto the bed (as I just did) to say thank you.
