Thanks to the excellent 43 Folders, I've now been introduced to the concept of “pronoia”:

Okay. I admit this is a little bit over the top in the opposite direction (opposite of paranoia, I mean... or anxiety and “stuckness”), but sometimes that's what we need to break free from whatever quagmire we're stuck in, yes? Maybe it won't get us out of Iraq, but it might get us into doing something good for ourselves, and that's a start. UPDATE: I somehow entirely missed that Brezny has written an entire book on Pronoia. How I missed that, I'm not sure. I'll blame Amazon's search for not finding it at first... which beats the heck out of blaming myself. Or maybe if I were Pronoiad, I'd say it was not a mistake, that somehow it is better this way, that I add content after the fact and link the book later. Okay. That's what I'll do. Enjoy the book, okay?
