PNW Inlander Says West Should Go

Though they didn't break the story, and you can smell a slight aroma of sour grapes in the issue, The Pacific Northwest Inlander is chiming in with its own opinion and claiming Jim West should resign as myaor:
Cover Story - Why West Should Go: "For the good of the city he loves, Mayor Jim West should make his vacation permanent and resign from office. It may not be fair, but it's just the kind of no-nonsense solution West himself might have suggested if he weren't in the eye of this political hurricane."
Surely he'll listen to them, won't he? I doubt it. But the more voices chiming in, the better, right? Though much of the rest of the issue seems obsessed with the Spokesman-Review's handling of the story, they eventually figure that "As a moral matter, West's practice of luring young people over the Internet is wrong." Um, okay. I didn't think that was the part of it that was "wrong," but I think they know that... it just isn't written that clearly. What was wrong, and I'll continue to say this just to make sure everyone is good and bored with me saying it, was the Mr. West used his position as mayor of Spokane to enhance his chances of scoring on the internet. And he may or may not have been using public resources to do so. And he needs to step down. Technorati Tags: , , , , , , , , ,
