Memorial Day 2005

By the time you read this, it will likely be Memorial Day. In case we need to be reminded what it is we memorializing, the Wikipedia has, as usual, a very solid, well documented entry:
"This holiday commemorates US service men and women who died in military service for their country. It began first to honor Union soldiers who died during the American Civil War. After World War I, it expanded to include those who died in any war or military action."
A chronological list of the most recent of these men and women can be found at Militar City's Honor the fallen page. Blessings and prayers for them, for their families, for those who know and love them. Technorati Tags: , , , , , , ,
