Now King Fahd really is dead. Even Wikipedia says so. May he rest in peace. (I don't remember what exactly interested me in King Fahd's death the first time around, but it apparently still does interest me. Perhaps it was the way in which it was reported, then revoked, and before we knew it he was feeling just fine, all rosy-cheeked and decked out in finery. But now I just feel deflated. A human being has died, and there's nothing particularly spectacular or glamorous or notable about his death. We all die just the same, King or not. Prayers.)
It is being reported that Saudi King Fahd will be reported dead on Saturday. It will be announced on Saturday that he has been dead since Wednesday. Or that he is dead but is only just now in the hospital not dead but also not well or not alive. Or rather, that the report of the hospital death of King Fahd on Wednesday will take place on a Saturday.
I mean no disrespect to the king. But if he is dead, just say so. Why all the muddlement?
