We didn't know it was a world, but Sony.com told us it was, so we believed them. We believed all they told us. The headphones would make us happy and beautiful. Our teeth would be straight and we would be movin'. We'd be cool and hip and no more than two or three months past fashion. We would be phat, or u-phat, or i-phat, or whatever the phat word for phat was at the time. We logged in and we listened to them, the whole world, knowing things would be better. They would have to get better. Just look. They even let us decide who would win the superbowl. I didn't know they were so powerful. So wonderful. We should have known. Feed us this. We have been so hungry for so long. We will never go hungry again.
